New Hobbies!

So I've started up drawing again and discovered my skills have greatly improved-granted I am patient enough to do the work-which has made me very happy. Rhett has spoiled me with a new sketchbook, oil pastels, and everything needed for fun drawing and colorful masterpieces. He has also spoiled me with clay. Lots of clay! I've always enjoyed working with clay and making mini "masterpieces" and the more I talk about it now the more I want to play! Haha.

Anyway, you'd think with a sketchbook, clay, video games, a house to upkeep, and television I'd have my hands full, right? Nope.

Moving out here to North Carolina (especially with such limited space), I had to leave a lot back behind. One of the things I had to leave were my precious stuffed animals. I thought I'd be fine without them, but lately I've found that I sit for hours at a time going on to ebay, amazon, and other random sites looking at stuffed animals and prices. I always find some that I really really like, and they are always the ones that are really really expensive, which breaks my heart a little because who has $70 to spend on a stuffed animal?? Sadly, not me.

This, however did not deter me! As I sat, staring at this beautiful $70 plush toy I kept thinking, "Why are you so expensive? I hate you. Except for really I love you." So what do I do to remedy this? I buy it. No just kidding!

I had a thought, and mostly joking was all, "haha, I'll just learn to make it myself!" See the problem with this was once I said it, I couldn't get the thought out of my head. I now have a new addiction. I have no idea how, but just yesterday I spent about 5 hours online looking up stuffed animal patterns and saving them or keeping the tabs up on my computer. I just stared and marveled at the fact that I can actually make my own stuffed animals. When Rhett came home, he saw the 200 tabs of stuffed animals patterns up on my computer and asked about it.

...guess who's getting spoiled again today with materials? :D

ps...is it possible to add photos to these blogs? If so, I'll add some of my drawing and other crafts!
